Eric’s presentation is “Embracing Your Natural Functioning Self Through Mind-Body Bridging”
In early August 2013, Eric founded A.V.Y Counseling Services, a practice dedicated to exceptional client care. His commitment to providing holistic, evidence-based interventions led him to earn certification in Mind-Body Bridging from Utah State University in April 2024. Eric is currently advancing his expertise by pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Denver.
Eric Landon earned his degree in Recreation Management and Youth Leadership with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. With nearly 30 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, Eric has worked extensively with youth and adults in residential, day treatment, and outpatient settings. His career has included diverse leadership roles, which have given him a broad perspective on program development and clinical care.
From April to August 2013, Eric served as the Associate Program Director of a Proctor Agency in American Fork, Utah. Prior to this role, he worked primarily with Valley Mental Health and Provo Canyon School as a Recreational Therapist. While at Valley Mental Health, Eric supported clients in both residential and day treatment programs. He concluded his tenure there as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, serving as the Client Advocate and Staff Liaison. In this capacity, he gained extensive insight into how state and local governments collaborate with agencies to address mental health and substance abuse challenges.
Eric remains passionate about empowering individuals and families to achieve lasting change and is dedicated to integrating innovative approaches to support their mental health and well-being.
